The Truth about Sunscreens!

Which sunscreens really protect you from the sun’s dangerous and deadly rays? Get surprising answers as M&J investigates!

At the time of Consumer Reports’ evaluation in July 2007, the FDA reported that “there are no internationally accepted standards for evaluating the effectiveness of a sunscreen in protecting against UVA light.” * Due to the fact that there still is no standard for evaluating UVA protection, Innovative Skincare feels that it is irresponsible for Consumer Reports to evaluate any sunscreen’s UVA protection. Innovative Skincare has requested that Consumer Reports disclose the clinical methodology of their UVA testing; however, Consumer Reports declined to do so on a number of occasions.

According to the FDA Monograph, Zinc Oxide is one of only three sunscreen ingredients approved by the FDA for UVA protection. Due to Innovative Skincare’s longtime commitment to product safety and efficacy, the inclusion of Zinc Oxide in the suncare line offers consumers the UVA protection that the FDA stands behind.
