It’s always rough coming back from vacation, particularly when you get in the habit of sleeping until noon everyday!

I had a great time in Hermosa Beach, although whenever you go back to a place where you have lots of friends, it’s never really a relaxing experience — even if that was the initial intention. I think my next vacation will be to a deserted island that I can find.

Hermosa is beautiful, although a teeny bit cold this time of year. It’s just south of Los Angeles International airport — right on the Pacific Ocean. We stayed at a place called the Beach House, although I think it may also be called the Inn at Hermosa Beach. It’s awesome — if you want a quick getaway, a great location and a beautiful room, this is the place. Although it’s right on the Strand, so expect noise of bikers, runners and roller-blader’s starting early. It is a stone’s throw away from the Hermosa Pier near bars and restaurants; which means loud revelry. Fun, but a bit rowdy at times.

The return from vacation started off with a bang — Danity Kane, the creation of Sean Combs a.k.a. Diddy ౏ performed. There are five of them and with their hair and makeup teams (and managers, etc) it was a circus in the greenroom, starting even before I arrived. I think the girls arrived sometime around 5:15 a.m. Although that can’t be fun for them, you never would’ve known. They were so friendly and polite, no attitudes at all. I appreciate that because many of these young performers (particularly the musicians) can be nightmares behind-the-scenes. DK were not!

Congratulations to our Executive Producer, Patty Ciano. She got engaged over hiatus to her longtime (and long suffering) (just kidding, Patty my love) boyfriend, Ted. He’s a sweet guy and she is an absolute riot. She’s been looking forward to this for a while. All I can say is the hangover after THAT wedding reception will be brutal! Seriously, congratulations Patty and Ted, I’m really happy for you.
